Albanian Information Technology Association(AITA)


AITA Association was founded on January 8, 2007, in Tirana. This association has about 30 members who carry out their activities in the field of Information Technology in Hardware / Software, Information Consulting Services, Business Application Solution, IT Training and Education etc..

The association represents the interests of the majority of the biggest companies in the IT market in Albania.

The objectives of the association are:

  • Serves as coordinator and co incentive for IT companies in the country in order that its members provide progress updates and trends in information technology
  • Serves as coordinator with similar organizations in the region and beyond to make the transfer of knowledge in the IT field .
  • Supports and assists the state administration and other relevant organizations  in the compilation of the IT strategy in country and in the adoption of its policies.
  • Organizes public awareness activities in order to orient their attention towards the importance that information technology has in everyday activities.
  • Represents and cooperates to protect the interests of IT companies.
  • Serves as an incentive so that the business of IT companies in Albania to be in conformity with the law
  • Promote the highest standards of professional and ethical potential members

President of the Assembly is Mr. Grigor Joti and deputy President is Mr. Fatos Cuci.

The Executive Director is elected by the Board, and is in charge of executive assignments of AITA. Actually, this role is taken over by the Board Chairman, Mr. Dritan Mezini.
